KDS' main service is the delivery of education, training and skills development programmes.

The services are unique in that the company's facilitators, assessors and moderators have the relevant knowledge and experience, skills, attitude and behaviour commensurate with professional skills development practitioners.

Our training programmes include Learnerships and Skills Development Programmes that are credit and non-credits bearing.

Skills Development Facilitator (SDF)

This programme assists learners to develop and submit Workplace Skills Plans, Annual Training Reports, conduct skills audits, coordinate training interventions and to implement a Quality Management system for Education, Training and Development within an organisation.

Learning Material Design

Learning Material Design 

The learning material Skills Programme deals with compulsory Unit Standards regarding the design and development of learning material as part of Outcomes Directed Education and Training. 

Mentorship and Coaching

Mentorship and Coaching

The Coaching and Mentoring Training Programme is ideal for those who wish to coach and mentor within the workplace or any setting where one‐on‐one coaching and mentoring is required. This programme equips learners with the necessary
knowledge and skill to coach and mentor successfully in settings where one‐on‐one or group coaching and mentoring is required. This
includes companies offering learnerships and
apprenticeships.  

SHORT COURSE PROGRAMMES

First Aid Level 1

First Aid Level 1

This unit standard is for persons required to assess the emergency situation and providing basic life support and basic first aid in order to stabilise patients prior to transfer to the emergency services.

First Aid Level 2

First Aid Level 2

Qualifying learners can perform basic first aid at the scene of an accident to minimise the risk of further injury or death.

First Aid Level 3

First Aid Level 3

This unit standard is to enable the first responder to react to emergencies at an advanced first aid level, until the arrival of more professional emergency personnel.

Operate a Balanced Lift Truck

OPERATE A COUNTER BALANCED LIFT TRUCK

PURPOSE
The person credited with this unit standard is able to operate a counter-balanced lift truck in a safe manner. They will also be able to conduct pre and post inspections to ensure the performance of the lift truck. The person will be able to handle the loading and storage of freight by using the equipment and its accessories in the required manner. They will also be able to access emergency system and services in the event of an incident or accident.

This course is presented over 5 days for Novices and 1 day for re-certification

PURPOSE
Operating a lifting machine takes place within a regulatory framework that seeks to ensure safety of the operator, the lifting machine and the lifting machine environment. Rough terrain/earthmoving/agricultural equipment is dangerous, hence, their safe operation cannot be overstated. The learner will also acquire the competencies and skills to operate the components, systems and levers to accomplish the task of lifting and handling loads appropriately.

This course is presented over 5 days for Novices and 1 day for re-certification 

Computer Literacy (MS Package)

COMPUTER LITERACY (MS PACKAGE)

COMPUTER ESSENTIALS
This module will teach you to perform basic work-related tasks on a PC running the Windows 10 operating system, the essential concepts and skills relating to the use of devices, file creation and management.
ONLINE ESSENTIALS
This module will teach you the essential concepts and skills relating to web browsing, effective information search, online communication and e-mail.
MICROSOFT WORD
This module teaches you to use a word processing application to accomplish everyday tasks associated with creating, formatting and finishing small-sized word processing documents, such as letters and other everyday documents.
MICROSOFT EXCEL
This module teaches you to understand the concept of spreadsheets and to use a spreadsheet application. It will enable you to perform tasks associated with developing, formatting, modifying and using a spreadsheet, to use standard formulas and functions, and to competently create and format graphs or charts.
MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
This module will enable you to demonstrate competence in using presentation tools on a computer. It will teach you to perform tasks such as creating, formatting, modifying and preparing presentations using different slide layouts for display and printed distribution. 

Driving Lessons

DRIVING LESSONS

CODE 08 - CODE 14 DRIVING LESSONS
KDS is a fully accredited driver training provider/driving school. We offer driving lessons and after licence courses across the country. Our Head office is in Johannesburg and we have satellite offices in Free State and Beufortwest. We offer professional driving lessons from Code 08 - Code 14. We also offer a wide range of after licence courses to improve driver's skills towards becoming a professional driver.

CODE 08 (B) K53 DRIVING LESSONS
Our experienced and qualified instructors will assist you to obtain your code 08 (B) driver license.

CODE C1 (10) K53 DRIVING LESSONS
KDS will assist you with obtaining your code 10 (C1) driving licence and above all, simplify the process so that you can concentrate on your driving lessons. By supplying you, the client, with a professional service, you can easily obtain your driving licence without the headaches and the stress. We supply training and assist clients from various areas creating a comfortable experience for both the learner and our experienced instructor. Our mission is to raise a generation of professional drivers.

At KDS we assist you with obtaining your code 14 (EC) driving licence with no hustles and above all offer you support throughout the process so that you can concentrate on your driving lessons. By supplying you with a professional service. 

Defensive Driving

Advanced Driving: Defensive and Economical Driving is an important course for professional drivers who transport goods and passengers.One of the most important aspects of driving and one that any professional driver should know and live by, is to assess the conditions you are driving in.

Being aware of the changing driving conditions is a quality that separates the good drivers from the poor or average driver.

Areas of focus for this course include: Driver fatigue, Common Causes of Accidents, Eye lead time, Lane discipline and Communicating with other drivers on the road and making sure that they are aware of you.

Gardening & Horticulture

Typical learners will be persons who are currently performing a range of activities and processes in lifting machine environment who have not received any formal recognition for their skills and knowledge, or learners who wish to embark on this qualification or those with a broad knowledge and skills base who work with lifting machines and who want to specialise in certain aspects of the lifting machine environment.
